Submerge is the flagship art event of No Kings Collective, a week long “art happening” advertised only with flash marketing. Participating artists are both emerging and mid-career, and are presented with the unique opportunity to craft a cohesive concept and body of work as a solo-exhibition within the larger framework of the festival. In addition to the exhibition, over the course of the week, the space hosts a number of creative and cultural happenings to fully complement and augment the idea of what it means to be creative in Washington DC.
Submerge was located on F Street in Chinatown in 2011 and on H Street in 2012.
It has been on hiatus, but is slated to re-emerge in fall 2015.
